Mobile homes need a larger size air conditioner than a traditional home since mobile homes have more heat gain due to lower insulation values.  A rule of thumb is for every 250-300 square feet add 1 ton of cooling.  A 1250 square foot mobile home requires a 4-5 Ton air conditioner.
